New Skinners Bridge lift Fortescue Tuesday 8th November

The bridge is arriving between 9-11am today (Tuesday 8th November) but as it looks like being fairly windy with some stronger gusts, it may be an issue for the crane operating and there is a possibility it could delay lifting the bridge.

There will still be a little while between the bridge being lifted into place and being opened to the public due to the sewer installation of the new sewer to the underside of the bridge, the parapets need to be installed and other path works and earthworks to follow. I envisage the bridge opening to the public later in December before Christmas and the temporary bridge will remain in place until the new bridge is open.
