THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (MILL STREET [FORD], SIDMOUTH) ORDER 2023

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

From MONDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2023

for a maximum of 18 months

Anticipated Finish FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER 2023

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected -

MILL STREET [FORD], SIDMOUTH

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - FROM MILFORD ROAD - MILL STREET; VIA SALCOMBE ROAD AND HIGH STREET (ONE-WAY).

FROM MILL STREET - MILFORD ROAD; RIVERSIDE ONTO YORK STREET, THE ESPLANADE ONTO B3176 TO ALL SAINTS ROAD ONTO SALCOMBE ROAD.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable -

REPAIR AND UPGRADE OF THE CONCRETE RAMPS LEADING OUT OF THE FORD ON BOTH SIDES, INSTALLATION OF IMPROVED FLOOD MANAGEMENT INFRASTRUCTURE, AND INSTALLATION OF NEW TELEMETRY TO SUPPORT SAID INFRASTRUCTURE.

WORKS WILL ONLY BE CARRIED OUT FROM 07:00 - 17:00 EACH DAY BUT FORD WILL BE CLOSED 24 HOURS A DAY FOR THE FULL DURATION.
