During investigative work the culvert slab was found to be in poor condition and needs to be replaced to ensure the road can continue to take HGV’s. The road closure will make use of the Easter Holiday period to minimise disruption to the school commute.

During the investigation works it established a pipe within the culvert that was causing debris blockages is an abandoned service and its planned to remove this as part of the works. This should improve flows and hence assist capacity during flood events.
