Be Prepared by Expecting the Unexpected

Some flood resilience tips ahead of Storm Ciaran….Be prepared and expect the unexpected by:-

Deploying any flood resilience you may have such as flood gates and barriers and air brick covers.
Place sandbags across vulnerable doors or use plastic sheets and tied bags of earth if you don’t have any specific flood defences.
Move valuables and any furniture up off the floor and if possible to upstairs.
Check on vulnerable neighbours.
Listen to weather forecasts and warnings.
Initiate any local Emergency Plan
Place towels on the inside of doors
Keep pets indoors
