Site Inspections across the Sid Valley

Spent several hours out with my Neighbourhood Highways Officer looking at a wide range of issues including blocked gullies along Cotford Road Sidbury Trow Hill near Blue Ball and bottom of Coburg Road...All these and others have been placed on the list for jetting.

Also looked at an issue where it looks as though a concrete pipe has fractured under Synderborough Lane and we tracked this via putting some environmentally friendly red dye in the flowing water at the access to the pipe. The unprecedented rainfall is causing many problems across Devon’s highway network with many pothole repairs failing and having to be re-visited.

Don‘t forget you can report potholes, street light outages etc yourself by going to the County Councils website www.devon.gov.uk or contact me.
